Suspended for two years due to the pandemic, Vapexpo will be held from October 16 to 18 at the Paris Event Center, bringing together professionals from the French vaping industry. FIVAPE, the industry's largest federation, will be hosting an information stand open to all visitors, to discuss upcoming regulatory developments.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on French tobacco consumption, which has been on the rise again since 2020, putting an end to five years of continuous decline. The impossibility for vaping stores to offer product testing to people wishing to stop smoking, and the closure of sales outlets located in shopping malls, are not unrelated to these poor results. The need for support and the smoker's search for the aroma that will turn him or her away from cigarettes for good is the first step towards a successful quit.
The organization of Vapexpo from October 16 to 18, 2021 is a key event, bringing together for the first time since the start of the pandemic all vaping professionals and smokers wishing to discover this cessation tool. Open to the general public on October 17, the show, which attracts some 10,000 visitors every year, will be an opportunity for manufacturers to present their latest products.
Open only to professionals and the press on October 16 and 18, Vapexpo will also be an opportunity for FIVAPE to take stock of the decisive issues to be faced in the first half of 2022, as the European Union prepares to legislate on tobacco and vaping products.
European discussions on the introduction of a tax or the banning of flavorings - essential to smokers' success in their attempts to quit - will be addressed on the FIVAPE A4 stand and presented by its President, Jean MOIROUD, during dedicated conferences.
