At the last edition of Vapexpo, a conference brought together Jean Moiroud, President of Fivape, Gaétan Gautier, General Delegate and Sébastien Beziau, Vice-President of Sovape. It was an opportunity to take stock of the TPD and the stakes involved in the forthcoming revision of European regulations.
Jean Moiroud reiterated his commitment to the absence of specific taxation in view of the usefulness of vaping, but at the very least, in the face of existing pressure for harmonization in Europe, "states wishing to mobilize vaping in their public health policy, in the fight against smoking, must be able to do so without having a tax imposed on them in Brussels", he emphasized regarding the European tax framework on vaping products.
