On Wednesday May 31, 2023, World No Tobacco Day, the associations AIDUCE, SOVAPE, LA VAPE DU CŒUR and FIVAPE are launching a national petition called " Merci la vape !" to mobilize users in the face of threats to vaping.
Vaping saves lives. Against the scourge of smoking, vape is the most effective and popular aid for quitting. Nearly two million French people have already escaped smoking thanks to vape. However, today, in the face of threats, it is necessary to defend it so that it can continue to help.
- Protest against demands to remove flavourings, condemning users to "tobacco taste" alone
- Reject plans for additional taxes
- Stop the denigration of vaping
- Denouncing misinformation
The MERCI LA VAPE operation takes place in two stages:
- From May 31 to September 30, 2023: A national campaign including a petition, a survey and an AIDUCE membership campaign.
- October 30, 2023: Publication of the survey results in a white paper on the issue of vaping in France, aimed at decision-makers, all members of parliament and government, and all national and regional institutions concerned with health, safety and public finances.
The associations are aiming to collect at least 100,000 signatures.
